Hip and groin pain can be very painful and sharp and achy in nature. Usually, there is inflammation at the joint causing the pain. In chronic conditions the hip joint can even lose complete range of motion and have referral of pain into the legs and into the gluteal region. There are many different causes of hip and groin pain. At this point the cause of the pain will be determined; however diagnostic ultrasonography or an MRI are also very accurate and preferred in determining the stage and extent of the hip and groin discomfort- if needed will be carried out.
